Technical Infrastructure Integration Lead

Overview: The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team is responsible for managing one of the largest cloud infrastructures globally, supporting all online products and services. Our Global Project Controls team plays a crucial role in delivering CO+I's mission by providing a responsive and effective project controls program across various business areas.
Role Summary: The Integration and Technical Infrastructure Manager (ITIM) - AI Leases is essential for overseeing integration and technical infrastructure activities related to Microsoft-owned systems and services. This role demands strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, along with a solid background in Data Center Construction and Fit-out projects, particularly in passive telecom infrastructure and construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the program for all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities for new data center builds or leased facilities.
- Identify and manage scopes and interdependencies among all stakeholders, coordinating with physical construction and general contractors.
- Oversee the handover process, ensuring all documentation and expectations are met for Operations teams.
- Develop and manage project plans, executing major milestones and overseeing financial approvals.
- Lead the DCI scope of work for multiple lease projects across the designated metro area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field with over 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT fit-out or construction project management.
- 3 years of experience in Safety Management on construction projects.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is highly desirable.
- Experience with telecommunications design/installation.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale data center projects.
Work Environment: This position requires a commitment to safety and collaboration, ensuring that all work sites adhere to Microsoft’s High Risk Activity program. The ITIM will coordinate efforts across various teams, ensuring a seamless handover of fitted-out facilities to the Operations team.
Accountability: The ITIM will be responsible for developing and reporting on safety, scope, schedule, and budget metrics related to integration projects, promoting vendor management and compliance.
