Position Responsibilities

The Nurse Navigator plays a crucial role in guiding patients through the entire cancer care continuum, from screening and education to diagnosis and treatment. This position involves providing both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Physician and Program Director.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Consulting on case management issues related to targeted interventions.
  • Acting as a care coordinator to ensure timely access and seamless integration of services.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Current and valid state RN License is required.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintenance of certification is required.
  • Nursing experience in related fields such as Breast or GYN care is preferred.
