The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service within the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology is seeking a dedicated early-career investigator specializing in Gastroesophageal Cancer Translational Research.
This role, appointed as the Debbie's Dream Foundation Gastric Cancer Investigator, emphasizes a commitment to patient care, innovative research, and educational initiatives focused on esophageal and gastric cancers.
The selected faculty member will benefit from a year of protected research time aimed at biomarker development and translational studies in gastroesophageal cancer, under the mentorship of Dr. Yelena Janjigian, Chief of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service.
Innovative Research Contributions:
Join a dynamic research team leading over 25 clinical trials, making significant contributions to FDA approvals of pioneering treatments such as nivolumab, pembrolizumab/trastuzumab, and trastuzumab deruxtecan for gastroesophageal cancers.
Collaborate with a diverse group of experts committed to advancing cancer care and improving patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- MD and/or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., oncology, translational medicine, molecular biology)
- A strong passion for translational research and a commitment to advancing cancer therapeutics
