Position Overview:
The Gastrointestinal Oncology Service within the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology in the Department of Medicine is in search of a full-time early career investigator specializing in Gastroesophageal Cancer Translational Research.
This physician-scientist, designated as the Debbie's Dream Foundation Gastric Cancer Investigator, will concentrate on patient care, research, and education related to esophageal and gastric cancers.
This faculty member will benefit from one year of dedicated research time aimed at biomarker development, laboratory, and translational research in gastroesophageal cancer, under the mentorship of Dr. Yelena Janjigian, Chief of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Service, to advance translational studies in this field.

Qualifications:
MD and/or PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., oncology, translational medicine, molecular biology)

Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
