Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Cancer Genetics Program Director to lead our pediatric cancer genetics program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical genetics and pediatric oncology, with a commitment to an academic career in cancer predisposition, genetics, surveillance, and early interception.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee departmental approach to universal assessment of predisposition, return of results, cascade testing, donor testing, and therapeutic recommendations.
  • Lead all aspects of patient and family screening, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies (imaging, cfDNA, etc).
  • Harmonize with adult surveillance and early interception programs.
  • Participate in clinical activities, including provision of patient care on a rotational basis with other faculty as it relates to specialty board certification.
  • Collaborate with or develop a vigorous academic research program using institutional data, research data, clinical research protocols, and translational labs.
  • Participate in education of fellows, residents, APPs, and genetic counselors.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New York (or must be licensed in another jurisdiction and be eligible for licensure in New York and New Jersey).
  • Have a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Osteopathy (DO) or equivalent.
  • Board-eligible or certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine, Pediatric Oncology, and/or Medical Genetics.
  • Eligible for appointment ranging from Assistant Professor to full Professor.
