Job Description

The Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA) is seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach and Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, including neighborhood organizations, civic groups, and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement community outreach and engagement strategies to promote the Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA) initiatives and services.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to community organizations and residents to help them access MOTA services and resources.
  • Collaborate with other MOTA staff to develop and implement community-based programs and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community outreach and engagement strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the District of Columbia and its communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Residency Requirement: The successful candidate must be a resident of the District of Columbia at the time of appointment and remain a resident during the duration of the appointment.
