Community Outreach and Relations Specialist

The Mayor's Office of Talent and Appointments (MOTA) is seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach and Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community groups, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the Mayor's Office's initiatives and programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain relationships with community groups, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the Mayor's Office's initiatives and programs.
* Coordinate services among District agencies to ensure timely responses to neighborhood concerns.
* Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote the Mayor's Office's initiatives and programs.
* Provide project progress information to neighborhood stakeholders, including the Advisory Neighborhood Commissions, civic groups, tenant associations, faith-based organizations, schools, businesses, other organizations, and residents.
Requirements
* Documented professional or community experience in community outreach and relations, community engagement, or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of the District of Columbia, including its neighborhoods, community groups, and organizations.
* Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, organizations, and government agencies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
