Job Overview

The Inventory Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing all maintenance components and stock levels. This position encompasses essential tasks such as cycle counting, procurement, and inventory oversight, all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. The individual in this role is vital for ensuring that all maintenance activities are supported with the necessary parts and equipment, while also managing inventory to contribute to the financial health of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts—daily, weekly, monthly, and annually—aligned with ABCD part classification, and reconcile discrepancies to uphold precise records of maintenance components and their inventory levels.
  • Assess inventory levels to guarantee adequate stock is maintained, and initiate purchase orders for essential maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Track and manage purchase orders, monitoring lead times and deliveries, while providing timely updates to the team.
  • Oversee the process for checking out items from inventory and adding new items to stock, ensuring all documentation and process controls are maintained.
  • Continuously seek improvements in inventory management processes and the checkout system, as well as overall stocking strategies.
  • Assist in the planning and scheduling process by confirming that all work orders have the necessary parts, tools, and equipment for completion.
  • Analyze procurement and purchasing expenses to uncover potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage performance metrics related to parts inventory, financial implications, and the influence on the work order planning process.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership regarding inventory levels, usage, purchasing activities, and strategies for critical spare parts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in purchasing or inventory management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
