Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Physics Education Specialist to join our team at Frontier Management (OR). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive physics education program for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan and develop a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Instructional Delivery: Instruct pupils in citizenship, basic communications skills, and other general elements of the course of study common to all teachers, as specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the district.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and prepare progress reports.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive environment.
  • Resource Management: Select and requisition books, instructional materials, equipment, aids, and maintain required inventory records.
  • Professional Development: Develop and maintain professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the district and in self-selected professional growth activities.
  • Communication: Communicate with parents and pupil personnel staff members on the individual pupil's progress and development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification: New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in Physics.
  • Language: Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
Benefits
  • Salary: $62,000 - $104,500 per year.
  • Employment Period: Ten (10) months per year.
  • Union Affiliation: Newark Teacher's Union (NTU).
  • Sign-on Bonus: Certified teachers may also qualify for a $4,000 sign-on bonus.
