Clinical Laboratory Specialist
Job Overview:
Utilize expertise in medical technology to conduct clinical laboratory assessments and various scientific evaluations.
Responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying, processing, and routing all materials into the facility and off-site locations, while accurately entering receipts into the Materials Management software system.
Notify the Warehouse Manager regarding any discrepancies between materials and shipping documentation.
Prepare shipments, including necessary documentation, for outbound deliveries.
Oversee the Returned Goods process in accordance with the Returned Goods Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Deliver inventory to designated staging areas for respective departments.
Ensure proper storage of warehoused items by rotating stock based on receipt and expiration dates to maintain optimal stock management.
Identify and report any short-dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) to the Warehouse Manager for potential actions.
Assist in conducting cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
Adhere to all relevant and current policies and procedures regarding Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc.
Evaluate existing procedures and propose enhancements to the Warehouse Manager.
Support order entry, picking, packing, and delivery of both internal and external orders as required.
Assist in the management of record storage and retrieval processes as needed; facilitate the preparation, receipt, and distribution of internal, inbound, and external mail as necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prior laboratory experience is essential.
Bachelor's degree required.
Current State Clinical Laboratory Scientist license is mandatory.
