Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Internal Theft Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into internal theft incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine the root cause of the issue.
  • Identify Theft Trends: Analyze data and identify patterns of theft to inform prevention strategies and improve inventory security.
  • Drive a Theft Prevention Culture: Collaborate with AP leadership to develop and implement action plans to reduce shortage and improve processes and standards.
  • Support Internal Investigations: Assist in the investigation and resolution of internal theft cases, providing support to AP leadership as needed.
  • Prevent Theft: Gather intelligence and communicate important issues to prevent theft and protect company assets.
  • Monitor Video Systems: Understand and effectively use video systems to monitor theft activity and support internal cases.
  • Respond to Incidents: Respond to incidents and submit appropriate documentation for all incidents following AP standards.
  • Lead a Safe and Secure Culture: Model and set an example for a safe and secure work environment, promoting a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Provide Excellent Service: Provide exceptional service and a working experience that meets the needs of team members and management teams.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with HR, ER, LR, and Operations teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assist with Investigations: Assist safety, claims, and management teams during accident or injury investigations.
  • Support Emergency Response: Assist with the site emergency action plan and liaison with local first responders when needed.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use continuous improvement principles to identify ways to improve our standards and outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively listen, build rapport, and communicate at all levels, sharing ideas as a trusted advisor.
  • Problem-Solve: Recognize and resolve situations that are ambiguous or challenging, focusing effort on meeting or exceeding goals and providing ways for improving efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Experience: Preferred 2-3 years of retail or distribution asset protection experience.
  • Skills: Welcoming and helpful attitude toward visitors and employees, ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs, effective communication skills, ability to work both independently and with a team, manage workload and prioritize tasks independently, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google apps (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, etc.).
