About the Role

Britten, a veteran-owned creative production house, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Projects Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day purchasing duties and ensuring the overall life cycle of purchase orders is accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Order Management: Maintain all aspects of the purchase order and receiving process, ensuring accuracy of all pertinent information.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with internal departments to ensure all material issues are known in a timely manner, including materials costs, delivery timeframes, delays, and substitution options.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate daily with vendors and ensure timely and accurate receipt of all purchase orders.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain records of all transactions, open purchase orders, receipts, and payments in coordination with the accounting department.
  • Dispute Resolution: Resolve PO discrepancies accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Expense Reporting: Create and submit credit card expense reports.
  • Team Representation: Represent the purchasing team in weekly meetings and huddles.
  • Warehouse Support: Occasionally work in the warehouse to assess material stock status visually and physically.
Requirements
  • Self-Starter: Must be a self-starter, proactive in your work, organizing priorities and able to pivot tasks quickly when required.
  • Strong Data Entry and Organizational Skills: Strong data entry, organizational, written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. Superior computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Solve problems with creativity and a level head.

Work Environment

The Purchasing Coordinator will work in an office environment with a dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be able to move around the office and warehouse to accomplish tasks and communicate with team members.
