This career opportunity, located in Garden City , provides a chance to learn about and ensure our transmission team has the correct inventory and items needed for their projects. You'll get to talk to vendors, obtain quotes, order materials, establish lead times, and coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate stock levels. The successful candidate will help coordinate the overall efficiency, accuracy, and accountability of warehouse inventory and stock levels.

Top Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and three years warehouse, purchasing, transmission, or distribution experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable in the general application of concepts and principles of inventory management, capacity planning, finite scheduling, and production scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills.

EEI Testing:

We administer selection tests for a variety of positions. The required tests have been developed by the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), a trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies. We strongly encourage candidates to review all the information, including the sample test brochures, and to use the available practice tests before taking the actual tests, available here:

Practice tests provide sample questions and detailed discussions of the correct answers. It's important to take the practice test as you would the actual one, with similar intensity and concentration. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer.

Note: EEI does not allow access to the actual tests. Testing sessions are held at various locations.
