Job Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Foster strong customer relationships by delivering prompt and effective service, utilizing sound judgment to manage customer orders, collaborate on demand forecasting, and coordinate delivery schedules. Acts as a vital link between clients, sales representatives, production teams, and logistics personnel. Flexibility in scheduling may be required on occasion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities are essential. Additional tasks may be assigned based on business requirements.

  • Develop detailed specifications and generate labels for components in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Request or generate quotes as necessary.
  • Handle and distribute orders received from clients through various communication channels.
  • Modify or cancel orders/backorders and relay updates to the relevant teams.
  • Notify clients of pricing, shipping timelines, expected delays, and any further information they may require.
  • Address, investigate, and resolve all customer inquiries regarding shipments, products, and concerns by adhering to ISO protocols.
  • Create purchase orders for essential materials.
  • Compile data and prepare various reports for management review.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer records.
  • Assist with answering incoming calls as required.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned to fulfill business needs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as design specifications and ISO-related materials.
  • Mathematical proficiency to compute figures and amounts including percentages, costs, and ratios.
  • Demonstrate exceptional phone etiquette.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and other relevant software.
  • Capacity to multitask, work autonomously, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly required to walk, talk, hear, stand, and sit.
  • Communicate effectively via telephone and computer.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The role is situated within a manufacturing facility that utilizes corrugated paper. While primarily office-based, employees may encounter dust, odors, and noise in the production area.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: A two-year degree or three years of relevant customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the capability to perform the role effectively.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Self-motivated with a strong commitment to achieving results.
