The Field Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that Kraemer teams are effectively planning their tasks by adhering to the Work Activity Plan process, while also promoting our core values of QUALITY, SAFETY, and EXCELLENCE. Responsibilities include providing necessary information to crews, inspecting work as it is completed, and closely monitoring field operations. You will also be responsible for tracking materials and work progress, as well as assisting with quality control and quantity assessments for subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Kraemer's Safety Program to guarantee the safe execution of construction projects and the well-being of our personnel.
  • Ensure that quality is integrated into all construction operations through effective planning, document control, and thorough field inspections.
  • Support overall construction management by coordinating and scheduling subcontractors and suppliers, providing oversight, and addressing construction challenges.
  • Contribute to the financial success of projects by measuring and tracking quantities, recording expenditures, and preparing cost reports.
  • Assist foremen and superintendents with various construction activities, including layout, elevation control, and troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders by upholding Kraemer's Core Values and effectively communicating to resolve issues.
  • Participate in Kraemer University courses to enhance skills and knowledge in essential competencies for career advancement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in heavy civil construction is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • A genuine passion for safety and construction.
  • Experience with construction software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AGTEK/Auto CAD is preferred.
