This role is part-time and seasonal, focusing on enhancing sustainability efforts within our operations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in training for Zero Waste Captains.
  • Support the sorting of waste post-event, ensuring proper recycling, composting, and donation practices.
  • Provide feedback and observations to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve material circularity based on waste analysis.
  • Assist in educating staff and attendees about sustainability practices.
  • Participate in non-event day sorting as needed.
  • Maintain an organized sorting area and assist with clean-up after events.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Venue Sustainability Coordinator.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance guest experiences.
  • Be prepared to work in varying weather conditions as this is an outdoor role.
  • Engage in physical activities, including walking and standing for extended periods.
  • Perform operational tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum age requirement is 16 years.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and sorting materials.
  • Willingness to work in less-than-ideal conditions.
  • Strong time management skills and reliability.
  • Friendly demeanor with effective communication abilities.
  • Professional appearance and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Availability for evening and weekend events.
  • Must have work authorization in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
