Compensation range: $50,000 - $65,000. This role requires a hybrid work model with on-site presence at our facility.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in achieving departmental goals by utilizing sound accounting practices to manage transactions, perform account reconciliations, and maintain accurate records to support the business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and precise processing of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and uphold comprehensive documentation for all transactions and journal entries.
  • Engage in monthly general ledger closing activities and prepare necessary journal entries.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory or cycle counting initiatives.
  • Assist with the annual audit conducted by external auditors.
  • Calculate and submit sales and use tax filings.
  • Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Undertake special projects as required.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and lookup functions).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (internships may be considered).
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
