Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Accounting Manager to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for leading and directing the activities of the plant accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and dissemination of internal and external monthly financial statements, annual budgets, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Account Reconciliations: Manage the monthly closing process and ensure accurate and timely reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze overhead, cost of sales, and actual manufacturing costs compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate and participate in physical inventories and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Fixed Assets: Ensure plant fixed assets and repairs are appropriately accounted for, including preparation or review of capital expenditure requests.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, assets, processes, and data.
  • Financial Analysis: Proactively identify manufacturing cost trends that impact the business and financial results, and work closely with Plant Managers to produce accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Compliance: Conform with and abide by all SOX regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Safety: Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10 years of increasing responsibilities, with prior experience leading a team.
  • Skills: Strong SAP and Microsoft Excel skills, extensive manufacturing and cost accounting experience, and strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
