Job Overview:

Supply Chain Optimization Engineer

The individual in this role will report directly to the Logistics Manager.

This position is based at our manufacturing facility.

The incumbent will be tasked with establishing and enhancing logistics workflows and material handling systems, focusing on safety, quality, and ensuring material availability at production lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Supply Chain Optimization Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supervising logistics workflows and material handling systems.
  2. Designing and executing comprehensive factory material flow (inbound-warehouse-outbound).
  3. Guaranteeing material availability at production lines.
  4. Planning and implementing processes to maintain accurate inventory records.
  5. Identifying challenges in material flow and taking corrective actions, making recommendations, or providing training as necessary.
  6. Continuously refining logistics processes to enhance safety, quality, and material availability.
  7. Planning and executing investments in logistics equipment and tools.
  8. Ensuring that systems (ERP) facilitate efficient process execution.
  9. Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) in logistics-related aspects.
  10. Creating and maintaining documentation and instructions for processes, equipment, and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing material flow within a product assembly environment and familiarity with material handling equipment and tools.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • A collaborative mindset, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to continuous learning.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
