Position Overview

Role Title: Waitstaff
Department: Dining & Catering, Tuck
Compensation: $5.00/hr base rate plus guaranteed $25.00/hr tipped rate

Position Purpose:
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver exceptional service at various upscale events organized by Tuck Dining Services, including buffets, plated dinners, and receptions. This is a part-time, temporary position, requiring availability for approximately 15 weeks annually, based on program needs.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with fellow waitstaff, contributing to a unified team effort.
  • Capacity to follow instructions and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with wine service and bartending techniques.
  • Previous experience in a waitstaff role within an upscale dining environment.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday; 7am to 2:30pm, with a commitment of up to 15 weeks per year.

Additional Information:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service at various upscale catered events, including buffets, plated dinners, and receptions.
  • Assist with bar setup and service.
  • Support the catering team in the setup, service, and cleanup of each event.
