Patient Service Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Service Associate to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals. As a Patient Service Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient meal order selections and deliver meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Set up and load meal trays onto carts, inspect and transport meals to assigned rooms, and collect and return empty trays and/or food carts.
- Ensure that patients' trays are checked for allergens and special requests, and that all items on the tray ticket are present.
- Deliver nourishments and enteral feeding, and assemble and deliver late trays as needed.
- Engage in service recovery to address patient complaints, and effectively communicate and collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team to resolve any concerns.
- Review diet orders and prepare a list of patients that were not seen and need to be visited by the next shift.
- Complete daily service satisfaction rounds and enter results into a computer program.
- Enter pertinent information obtained from patients into CBORD, EPIC, and/or other record systems.
- Assist with the tabulation of statistics and prepare menu-related reports as requested by supervisors, managers, or dietitians.
- High School Diploma or its educational equivalent.
- Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory experience working in a hotel, restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or food service.
- Completion of an NYC Health + Hospitals food service training program within three (3) months of appointment.
