Position Overview

Ledgent Finance and Accounting is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our esteemed Accounting division, supporting a key Manufacturing partner.

This role includes:

  • Compensation: $80,000-$100,000 annually
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze financial data essential for the timely execution of monthly and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and entry of standard and special journal entries along with maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliations, preparing detailed records required for the upkeep of general ledger accounts, which encompass both balance sheet and income statement accounts. Scrutinize, verify, and interpret any discrepancies and trends in relation to budget forecasts, previous months, and prior year’s performance.
  • Reconcile various bank accounts and prepare sales and use tax reports.
  • Engage in special projects and other job-related tasks that align with departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and other finance departments, gaining exposure to sensitive operational results, financial data, procedures, budgets, forecasts, and management strategies.
  • Assist in the compilation of data and preparation of documents for external auditors on a quarterly basis or as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • 3-6 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Required)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
