YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee, adjust, and sustain production methodologies for intricate projects.

Design and conduct evaluations of both new and existing technologies and equipment to guarantee that products can be produced either in-house or through external partners.


Develop, document, and implement a strategy for selecting and/or innovating technology (e.g., order of addition, chemical interactions, processing parameters, processing equipment) while managing dynamic timelines to achieve specific project goals (e.g., enhance quality, launch new products, optimize processes).

Create comprehensive technology transfer documentation to facilitate cross-functional technical communication and training during the commercialization phase.

Collaborate with Engineering to refine and optimize design specifications and scope for unit operations and equipment linked to pioneering processing technologies.


Conduct field evaluations to collect data (e.g., processing capabilities, equipment requirements, formulation limitations) aimed at enhancing manufacturing feasibility, product performance, sustainability, and overall product quality.

Supervise plant trials or production launches.


Continuously prepare and update documentation (e.g., technical notebooks, Standard Operating Procedures, trial protocols) to define project objectives, set expectations, and garner support.

Stay informed about emerging technologies and instrumentation, making recommendations for capital enhancements. Provide leadership in developing R&D strategies for innovation projects and new product formats.


Engage creatively with the Innovation Team and Product Development to generate ideas that have clear, sustainable pathways to manufacturing with minimal capital expenditure.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Research & Development, Manufacturing, or Engineering, including at least 3 years of relevant laboratory and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience.

Proficient understanding of statistics and Design of Experiments, with the ability to create Block and Process Flow Diagrams for new processes.

Experience in scaling up from laboratory to pilot plant to commercial scale, with substantial time spent at the lab bench or pilot plant, and capable of preparing batches independently within the pilot plant.
