Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm with rotating Saturday shifts. **Includes differentials for Evening and Weekend shifts**

Role Summary: The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures, utilizing independent judgment to ensure high-quality diagnostic results and exceptional patient care. In addition to performing MRI scans, the specialist will assist Radiologists with advanced procedures, manage necessary documentation, prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, and undertake related clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute MRI procedures efficiently and with precision.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and assist with dressing as necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation to facilitate the delivery of MRI services.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns by clearly explaining MRI processes.
  • Administer intravenous contrast agents when necessary.
  • Apply radiation safety measures to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functionality, reporting any concerns to management.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy with patients, colleagues, and visitors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution; or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Certification in ARRT (R) (MR) and valid licensure are required.
  • 1-2+ years of hands-on experience with various MRI procedures.
  • Familiarity with Siemens and GE MRI machines is preferred.
