Position Overview

We are seeking a Configuration Manager to contribute to our mission supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as a transformative force in space acquisition within the Department of Defense, SDA provides space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter, enhancing terrestrial mission support through the development, deployment, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA leverages a unique business model that emphasizes speed and cost reduction by utilizing commercial development to establish a proliferated architecture and improve resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee documentation and products to ensure the integrity of configuration control; manage and organize a data repository for documentation and products. Supervise the release process for documentation, including obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Collaborate with government clients and vendors to formulate configuration management plans and documentation; may be tasked with reviewing, editing, and providing recommendations for configuration management plans submitted by performers.
  • Utilize or recommend automated configuration management tools to enforce configuration management policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate, assess, and provide recommendations to Government Project Managers regarding program objectives and assist in executing associated technical and program management responsibilities. This includes conducting technical analyses to define, assess, and monitor program technical aspects to support technical evaluations of the Government's requirements and track program progress and technical risks.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI-Eligible - Must currently hold an active TS/SCI clearance or have held an SCI clearance and been debriefed within the last 24 months.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in configuration management design and implementation.
  • Proven ability to engage in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and/or other equivalent program management tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate independent motivation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in acquisition or government program management is highly desirable.
  • ISO 9000 Certification.
  • CMMI Level 3 certification.
