Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking an Endpoint Configuration Manager (ECM) Specialist with expertise in software packaging to deliver software maintenance and engineering support under the Foundation Sustainment Services contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and oversee software update deployments utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) to ensure all endpoints are adequately patched and compliant with security protocols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and implement maintenance windows for software updates and patches, minimizing disruption to user productivity.
  • Customize software update groups and deployment packages within MECM to target specific device collections, ensuring effective testing and phased rollout strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment, including installation failures, update conflicts, and compliance issues.
  • Design and implement automated workflows for deploying third-party software updates using MECM, leveraging vendor catalogs or custom packages.
  • Work closely with application owners and IT teams to package and deploy software applications using MECM, following best practices for compatibility and user experience.
  • Monitor deployment success rates, compliance levels, and status using MECM reports and dashboards, proactively addressing any discrepancies.
  • Continuously assess and enhance MECM software deployment processes and configurations to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required OR active TS/SCI and willingness to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Scripting/Automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Experience in software installation and upgrades.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows environments within secure settings.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct MECM/SCCM experience.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II or higher certification upon hire, such as CompTia Security+ CE or CISSP.
  • Basic understanding of remote administration, virtualized computing, and cloud computing (specifically AWS).
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and Change Request processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAFe Agile concepts and ability to function within an Agile framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of direct MECM/SCCM experience.
  • Experience in establishing a new MECM/SCCM infrastructure deployment.
  • DevOps experience, particularly with GitLab.
  • Experience with Python 3 using Boto3, Amazon CLI, or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with Ansible for similar requirements on RHEL 9.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • AWS knowledge and experience equivalent to AWS SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect associate.
