Job Summary

The Los Angeles LGBT Center is seeking a skilled Acupuncturist to join our Department of Health Services. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based acupuncture care to our patients, working closely with primary care providers to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed, body-positive acupuncture services to patients with diverse physical presentations and chronic medical conditions.
  • Conduct clinical encounters, including taking thorough histories, performing TCM diagnostics, and documenting patient care in our electronic health record.
  • Communicate regularly with primary care providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise in relevant fields of clinical care, participating in peer review exercises and mandatory clinical trainings.
  • Assure a positive patient experience and clinical care, participating in routine meetings with your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited acupuncture school.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience, preferably treating psychological and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Unrestricted license to practice Acupuncture in the State of California.
  • Eligibility for malpractice coverage.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated expertise and passion for working with underserved and medically mistrustful patients.
  • Bilingual skills, a plus (English/Spanish fluency preferred).
