Compensation: $65,354.00 to $68,984.50 Annually

Employment Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Probation Period: 180 days

Role Summary

The Quality Coordinator (QC) plays a crucial role in supporting the Quality Management (QM) systems aimed at enhancing the quality of services within Health Services (HS) at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Collaborating closely with the QM team, the QC will develop and implement systems that promote equitable access to healthcare services. Responsibilities include system development, direct client engagement, and the creation of educational programs tailored to the unique needs of the LGBTQ community.

Department Overview

The Los Angeles LGBT Center stands as the largest provider of direct services to the LGBTQ and HIV+ communities globally. The Health Services Department offers a comprehensive range of care, including primary care, sexual health, transgender care, HIV treatment, mental health services, addiction recovery, pharmacy services, laboratory services, and clinical research, primarily targeting underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate quality improvement workgroups, ensuring accurate documentation of meeting minutes and follow-up on assigned deliverables.
  2. Develop, maintain, and analyze performance measures through dashboards and queries.
  3. Conduct surveys and compile results for reporting purposes.
  4. Assist management in addressing client feedback from various channels.
  5. Collaborate with the Quality Manager to provide technical support for performance monitoring and quality enhancement initiatives.
  6. Support staff training and development on quality management principles and practices.
  7. Ensure the confidentiality of all patient, employee, and volunteer information.
  8. Adhere to all regulations concerning corporate integrity and security; report any unethical or unlawful activities.
  9. Participate in all assigned meetings and contribute to discussions.
  10. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  1. A strong commitment to the Center's mission of improving the lives of LGBT individuals.
  2. 2-4 years of education in a health-related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  3. Ability to prioritize tasks and accurately document meeting discussions in real-time.
  4. Proficient in computer skills, including electronic health records and office software.
  5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
  6. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Culturally competent in evaluating care systems for diverse patient populations.
  8. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  9. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
