Clinical Manager for Housing Support Services

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with Day/Evening shifts and rotating on-call responsibilities.
Compensation: Annual salary of $83,616.00, commensurate with experience.
Role Summary:
The Director of Housing Recovery Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical and operational aspects of the Recovery teams within the Permanent Supportive Housing division. These teams are dedicated to delivering comprehensive clinical support to both individuals and staff within the Housing Department, as well as addressing the needs of individuals with substance use histories who are at risk of losing their housing.
The ideal candidate will possess robust clinical expertise to provide consultation and guidance to the team, enabling them to deliver effective support and clinical services. This includes addressing the complexities of care for individuals with backgrounds of trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders, while employing a Harm Reduction approach to engagement and intervention.
The Director will also be responsible for supervising the team in developing and implementing solution-focused strategies that foster stability, wellness, and recovery. The ultimate objective is to restore housing environments to a state of well-being and independence as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in program and policy development.
- Lead staff training and in-service sessions.
- Collaborate with the Director to explore new program opportunities.
- Work effectively as a team player, coordinating services across various departments.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
- Master's degree in social work or a related discipline (e.g., counseling, psychology).
- LICSW, LMHC, or the ability to secure independent licensure within one year of employment.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid, or the ability to obtain these certifications.
- Recovery Coach Supervisor Certification or willingness to achieve certification within six months of employment.
Knowledge/Experience:
- A minimum of ten years of experience providing services to adults with mental health and substance use disorders, including those with traumatic brain injury and trauma histories.
- At least two years of clinical supervisory experience.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge to educate on substance use, trauma, co-occurring disorders, and mental health.
- Proficient in computer skills, including management information systems and database applications.
- Commitment to the principles and practices of Harm Reduction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with chronically homeless and medically vulnerable populations.
- Background in coaching and mentoring non-clinical direct-care staff.
- Familiarity with the Housing First model for permanent supportive housing.
- Expertise in Motivational Interviewing and case management.
- Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and its impact on direct-care staff.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
