INVISTA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fixed Equipment Engineer to play a pivotal role in driving corporate-level excellence in Safety, Environmental, and Operational performance. This position, based in a dynamic environment with up to 50% travel, focuses on mentoring and enhancing plant site capabilities. The successful candidate will bring extensive fixed equipment engineering expertise to teach, guide, and uplift site personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor Site Engineers and Technicians for skill development in fixed equipment maintenance and repair, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Travel to plant sites for hands-on training sessions and workshops to enhance site capabilities, promoting best practices and standardization.
  • Partner with site resources to plan and execute work, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Apply critical thinking and engineering calculations for stable and reliable operation, driving process efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement strategic improvements to plant engineering programs, leveraging industry expertise and innovation.
  • Provide expert advice for complex engineering challenges, promoting continuous learning and development among site personnel.
  • Collaborate with industry peers to enhance fixed equipment inspection strategies, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with multiple plant teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
    • 15+ years of experience in Fixed Equipment Engineering in a petrochemical plant, with a proven track record of success and expertise.
    • Travel up to 50% of the time, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
    • Experience in mentoring and skills development, with a passion for teaching and guiding others.

      Preferred Skills:

      • Proficiency in engineering software for pressure vessel calculations, heat transfer, and fluid flow, with a strong understanding of industry-standard tools and technologies.
      • Master's degree is a plus, with advanced knowledge and expertise in a related field.
