Job Summary:

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and scheduling process for patients receiving care in our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately identify and register patients in the hospital information system with complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information to ensure accurate records and timely billing.
  • Handle all aspects of scheduling same-day visits, tests, and ordering exams while providing reception and managing patient flow in support of Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging testing services or Emergency Department Care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience throughout the registration and scheduling process.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and efficient registration and scheduling processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant customer service experience.
  • Experience using a computerized information system.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Pay Range: $25.41
