Job Summary
Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Access Representative I. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and registering patients in our hospital information system, ensuring complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information for timely billing and accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Register patients in the hospital information system with complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information
- Handle all aspects of scheduling same-day visits, tests, and exams while providing reception and managing patient flow
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Collaborate with laboratory and diagnostic imaging teams to ensure seamless testing services
- Manage confidential patient information with discretion and professionalism
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Relevant customer service experience
- Experience using a computerized information system
- Previous healthcare experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Pay Range
$25.41 per hour
