Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist Pulmonary Specialist will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various states of health and illness. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the respiratory plan of care for outpatients in clinic, testing, pulmonary rehab, and inpatient consults as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pulmonary therapy care according to established policy and procedure in assigned areas, including pulmonary function testing (PFT), pulmonary rehab, and respiratory patient education.
  • Function as an essential member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing direct patient care, instruction, and education.
  • Make knowledgeable assessments of outpatients and provide expert-level direct clinical care.
  • Apply critical thinking to all aspects of patient care and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Associate Degree Level CoARC accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy.
  • 2 Years Prior experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Current VT State license.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
  • ACLS preferred or plan to acquire within one (1) year.
  • CPFT preferred or plan to acquire within two (2) years.
  • Certified Asthma Educator preferred or plan to acquire within two (2) years.

Preferred Skills

  • Working Knowledge of Respiratory Equipment.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.

Pay Range: $39.98
