About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration and Scheduling Specialist to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Access Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration and scheduling of patients across various areas of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately register patients in our hospital information system, capturing complete demographic, insurance, and clinical information to ensure accurate records and timely billing.
- Handle all aspects of scheduling same-day visits, tests, and exams, while providing exceptional reception and managing patient flow in support of Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging testing services or Emergency Department Care.
- Utilize a computerized information system to efficiently manage patient data and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology and Microsoft Windows desktop applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
