Position Overview:

This is a Part-Time Hybrid Role with a focus on supporting the People Operations team.

Founded in 2018, Airspace Link, Inc. is dedicated to ensuring safe drone operations across various communities. As an FAA-approved UAS Service Supplier, we provide a comprehensive cloud platform that supports the evolving drone industry.

Role Summary:

The HR Administrator position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in systems management, payroll processing, and data analysis. As a key member of our People Operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of service for our expanding workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of a new HRIS system, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Manage multi-state payroll processes, adapting to the company's growth and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with benefits partners to facilitate employee access to comprehensive benefits, including open enrollment and benefits reporting.
  • Administer the MI New Jobs Training Program, acting as a liaison to educational institutions and state agencies.
  • Ensure seamless integration between payroll and benefits providers through effective EDI feeds.
  • Generate and analyze benefits and compensation reports using advanced Excel skills.
  • Support 401(k) administration, ensuring timely updates and compliance with testing requirements.
  • Stay informed about the latest regulations affecting payroll and benefits.
  • Represent the company at recruitment events and engage with potential candidates.
  • Provide prompt and friendly responses to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Manage information security protocols as defined by the system.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

Position Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in roles related to payroll system implementation and benefits administration.
  • Strong professional presence with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on detail, suitable for an administrative role.
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll and tax registrations; international payroll experience is a plus.
  • HR certification (HRCI or SHRM) is advantageous but not mandatory with relevant degree.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
