Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate and Trust Administrative Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our estate planning and trust administration attorneys, as well as assisting with client communications and document preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Prepare and file probate and trust administration documents with the court.
  • Maintain and organize client files, including managing deadlines and tracking important dates.
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other parties involved in estate and trust matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for attorneys.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and court hearings.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the attorneys and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • 2 years of experience as an estate and trust paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and trust administration processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with tax preparation and filings is a plus.
