Job Description:

Beacon Hill is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trusts & Estates Assistant to join their team in Boston. As a key member of the Trusts and Estates Department, this individual will provide administrative support to multiple attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation: Prepare and type correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • File Management: Maintain both electronic and physical files, including photocopying, reading, and sorting mail, as well as preparing and updating estate planning binders.
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate scheduling, input attorney timesheets, process, proof, and review bills and invoices, and interact with clients, financial advisors, investment advisors, accountants, attorneys, and other staff.
  • Special Projects: Prepare final estate planning letters, including copies of executed estate planning documents and recommendations for various asset transfers related to trust funding strategy.
Requirements:
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as law or finance.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related administrative role.
  • Skills: Impeccable integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of attorneys, staff, and clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience using a Document Management System and Billing Software.
Soft Skills:
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Integrity: Ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters.
