Verrill Dana is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Trust and Estate Administrator. This full-time position is designed to provide extensive client service, administrative, and operational support within the Private Clients and Fiduciary Services Group (FSG).

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities associated with trust administration include, but are not limited to:

  • Initiating various trust distributions and payments.
  • Preparing and distributing regular financial statements.
  • eFiling essential documents, statements, and tax returns.
  • Maintaining the FSG trust database.
  • Assisting clients, trustees, beneficiaries, and internal departments while managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

In terms of estate administration, the role encompasses:

  • Managing the complete administration process of estates under attorney supervision.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining estate documents.
  • Coordinating the resolution of outstanding debts related to the estate.
  • Preparing and filing probate documents, including petitions and inventories.
  • Serving as a primary contact for estate-related inquiries.
  • Collaborating closely with attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient estate administration processes.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in estate and trust administration, preferably within a law firm or corporate fiduciary setting.
  • A strong understanding of trust and estate administration processes and timelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and trust accounting systems (Quicken, QuickBooks).
