About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Manager to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and Manage Kitchen Personnel: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that our kitchen staff have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional service and food quality.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Culinary Activities: Oversee the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring that it meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Estimate Food Consumption and Requisition/Purchase Food: Analyze sales data and menu trends to estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food as needed.
  • Select and Develop Recipes: Create and standardize recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Establish Presentation Technique and Quality Standards: Develop and implement presentation techniques and quality standards to ensure that our food is visually appealing and meets our high standards of quality.
  • Plan and Price Menus: Develop and implement menus that meet our customers' needs and preferences, while also ensuring that they are profitable.
  • Ensure Proper Equipment Operation/Maintenance and Safety and Sanitation in Kitchen: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that our kitchen is safe and sanitary.
  • Oversee Special Catering Events: Plan and execute special catering events, including weddings, corporate events, and other functions.
  • Offer Culinary Instruction and/or Demonstrates Culinary Techniques: Provide culinary instruction and demonstrations to our kitchen staff and customers.
Requirements
  • 2-3 Years of Experience: We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • 2-3 Years of Post-High School Education or Equivalent Experience: A degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Culinary Degree Preferred: A culinary degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Food Profession: We are looking for a candidate with advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Experiential Knowledge of Management of People and/or Problems: We are looking for a candidate with experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
  • Oral, Reading and Written Communication Skills: We are looking for a candidate with strong oral, reading and written communication skills.
