Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in commercial development and resource acquisition. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of resource acquisitions, including financial analysis, stakeholder management, and project planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategy development and implementation plans for resource acquisitions, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, energy storage, and other dispatchable resources.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and action items, and lead implementation of project plans across multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Conduct or manage business, operational, financial, and policy level analyses to evaluate potential projects and maximize the value of current energy resource assets.
  • Lead external representative(s) on assigned projects, including identifying, negotiating, and managing partner relationships and commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate with long-term resource and planning groups to review asset acquisitions and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, business administration, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 5 years relevant work experience, including 3 years asset development and acquisition experience.
  • Experience in the utility, oil, gas, or independent power sector and experience in project development or commercial acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles, strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
What We Offer:

Puget Sound Energy offers a competitive compensation and rewards package, including a salary range of $88,000 to $146,500, annual goals-based incentive bonuses, and a suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, basic life, and short- and long-term disability insurance, and a 401(k) investment option and a cash balance retirement plan.
