Fulton River Partners is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead the corporate business development and go-to-market strategy for a client in the metal formed products space. This includes leading sales and client-relationship management, tracking new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services, and proposing and developing new strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have substantial relationships and be able to pick up and run on day one. They will be responsible for developing and continually improving sales, systems, and processes to support the success of the sales function. Additionally, they will help large and small businesses, as well as individual designers, be more successful by advising on design/DFM and manufacturability.

The role offers an incredible opportunity to grow commissions from day one, which will be recurring for years to come. The successful candidate will be able to cultivate deep relationships with many new customers and handle building relationships with little hand-holding. They will also be responsible for addressing technical needs, questions, and concerns regarding product creation and creating specific strategies and tactics to meet growth objectives and execute against the plans.

About the Role:

  • Senior sales role responsible for hunting and finding new customers.
  • Must have experience selling in to the general industrials and related sectors.
  • Develop and continually improve sales, systems, and processes to support the success of the sales function.
  • Help large and small businesses, as well as individual designers, be more successful by advising on design/DFM and manufacturability.

About You:

  • Extensive experience with both prospecting (phone, email, etc) as well as experience with outside sales development/hunting.
  • Looking for someone that can find/grow/develop new commercial opportunities and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Continually brainstorm with team members on creative ways to establish new partnerships.
  • Experience in industrial components, metal fabricated parts, manufacturing sales, and/or similar field.
  • Extremely comfortable with Sales Navigator or other CRM software.
  • BS preferred in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in either contract manufacturing or manufacturing operations, or a related field with focus on sales, business development, etc.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication (stamped/formed/machined).
  • Willing and able to perform responsibilities of a senior supply chain analyst (digest large data sets, develop forecasts, variance analysis, summarize and provide actionable insights based on data).
  • Intermediate to expert level of experience in Excel.

Compensation:

Base salary is $140k to $175k depending on experience. Commission expectations based on reasonable revenue goals year one are at minimum $80,000 to $100,000. Total OTE: >$225,000, with no cap on commissions. This number will increase substantially over time as new markets are entered and your client book of business increases.
