Job Title: Senior Commercial Development Manager

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Generation & Transmission Development team, you will play a critical role in leading and coordinating all aspects of resource acquisitions for utility-scale energy generation and storage resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategy development and implementation plans for presentation to senior management for recommended resource acquisitions.
  • Lead implementation of project plans across multi-disciplinary project teams, including creating and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and action items.
  • Conduct or manage business, operational, financial, and policy level analyses needed to evaluate potential projects while considering PSE's current position and how best to maximize the value of current energy resource assets.
  • Lead external representative(s) on assigned projects, including identifying, negotiating, and managing partner relationships and commercial contracts.
  • Collaborate with long-term resource and planning groups inside PSE to review asset acquisitions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics, business administration, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • 5 years relevant work experience, including 3 years asset development and acquisition experience.
  • Experience in the utility, oil, gas, or independent power sector and experience in project development or commercial acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, processes, and techniques applied in a utility setting.
  • Knowledge of utility regulatory and accounting practices.

Puget Sound Energy offers a competitive compensation and rewards package, including a pay range of $88,000.00 - $146,500.00, and eligibility for annual goals-based incentive bonuses. We also offer a suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, basic life, and short- and long-term disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) investment option and a cash balance retirement plan.
