Position Title: Sales Support Specialist
Overview
The Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in facilitating the administrative operations, providing service, and effectively communicating the requirements of group clients to all relevant departments from the moment of booking until the checkout date. This includes:
Executing non-sales functions within the department to maximize the sales team's time for pursuing and securing additional business opportunities for the hotel.
Efficiently handling all assigned sales responsibilities, including processing incoming inquiries and fulfilling sales reporting obligations.
Ensuring compliance with deadlines, performing designated tasks, maintaining sales data records, and serving as a communication bridge between the hotel and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support the sales team in all sales-related activities for group, corporate, and catering business.
Process incoming business inquiries as directed by the Director of Sales or General Manager.
Assist in managing in-house groups from the sales office.
Act as a liaison between the hotel sales office and clients.
Maintain records and sales databases in accordance with company standards.
Ensure effective communication of group requirements to hotel operations staff.
Execute assigned sales reporting tasks and meet all deadlines.
Follow up on special projects and assignments as directed by the Director of Sales.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities may be subject to change.
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school) or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Prior experience in the hospitality industry or a related field is preferred.
