Resident Services Coordinator

POAH Communities, a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to community enhancement and the preservation of vulnerable affordable rental housing, is in search of a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Community Impact Coordinator for Flat 9 and The Loop at Mattapan Station Apartments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Community Impact Coordinator will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between residents and the POAH Communities Community Impact department. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting an annual resident survey to evaluate the needs of families and individuals.
- Collaborating with residents, site staff, management, and local service providers to design and implement supportive service programs.
- Coordinating the provision of services with local human service organizations.
- Identifying beneficial programs or opportunities for youth and families within the community, such as health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery initiatives, and community-building events.
- Maintaining confidential records of services provided to residents in compliance with HUD regulations.
- Setting program objectives, monitoring progress, and utilizing outcome data for ongoing program enhancement, while reporting results to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicating effectively with residents through newsletters, flyers, bulletin boards, etc., to keep them informed about available resources and programs.
- Staying informed on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, mandated reporting, and other essential HUD regulations and lease agreements governing tenant residency.
- Participating in all required meetings and contributing to additional projects as directed by the Property Manager.
- Willingness to support and travel to multiple properties as needed.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A minimum of three years of experience in resident or social service programs, preferably within affordable housing.
- The ability to engage and motivate diverse resident populations.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Certification as a Resident Coordinator is advantageous.
- A college degree, ideally in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is preferred.
