Community Impact Coordinator
POAH Communities, a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to community enhancement and the preservation of vulnerable affordable rental housing, is in search of a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Community Impact Coordinator for Flat 9 and The Loop at Mattapan Station Apartments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Community Impact Coordinator will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between residents and the POAH Communities Community Impact department. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting an annual resident survey to evaluate the needs of families and individuals.
  • Collaborating with residents, site staff, management, and local service providers to design and implement supportive service programs.
  • Coordinating the provision of services with local human service organizations.
  • Identifying beneficial programs or opportunities for youth and families within the community, such as health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery initiatives, and community-building events.
  • Maintaining confidential records of services provided to residents in compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Setting program objectives, monitoring progress, and utilizing outcome data for ongoing program enhancement, while reporting results to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicating effectively with residents through newsletters, flyers, bulletin boards, etc., to keep them informed about available resources and programs.
  • Staying informed on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, mandated reporting, and other essential HUD regulations and lease agreements governing tenant residency.
  • Participating in all required meetings and contributing to additional projects as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Willingness to support and travel to multiple properties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will possess:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in resident or social service programs, preferably within affordable housing.
  • The ability to engage and motivate diverse resident populations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Certification as a Resident Coordinator is advantageous.
  • A college degree, ideally in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is preferred.
