Community Impact Coordinator
POAH Communities, a dynamic and innovative organization dedicated to community enhancement and the preservation of vulnerable affordable rental housing, is in search of a highly skilled individual to take on the role of Community Impact Coordinator for Flat 9 and The Loop at Mattapan Station Apartments.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Community Impact Coordinator will play a crucial role as the intermediary between the residents residing in our apartments and the Community Impact department at POAH Communities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Property Manager, the Community Impact Coordinator will be tasked with supporting and assisting residents in various capacities:
  • Conduct annual resident surveys to evaluate the needs of families and individuals.
  • Collaborate with residents, site staff, management, and local service providers to create and execute supportive service programs.
  • Facilitate the coordination of services with local human service organizations.
  • Identify and promote beneficial programs or opportunities for youth and families within the community, such as health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery services, and community-building events.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident services in compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Set program objectives, monitor progress, and analyze outcomes to inform continuous program enhancements, reporting findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with residents through newsletters, flyers, and bulletin boards to keep them informed about available resources and programs.
  • Stay informed on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, mandated reporting, and other relevant HUD regulations and community guidelines.
  • Participate in all required meetings and contribute to special projects as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Willingness to support and travel to multiple properties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will possess:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in resident or social service programs, preferably within affordable housing.
  • The ability to engage and motivate diverse resident populations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Certification as a Resident Coordinator is advantageous.
  • A college degree, ideally in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is preferred.
