Role Summary: We are in search of a passionate and experienced Elder Program Manager to lead initiatives tailored for our senior residents. This role entails the planning, development, execution, and assessment of a comprehensive suite of Age Well programs and activities. The selected candidate will ensure that our offerings are responsive to the evolving needs of our residents while aligning with RTH's mission and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Research and adopt best practices and innovative models for program delivery.
  • Assist in the annual planning cycle, focusing on outcome development and evaluation methodologies.
  • Encourage resident participation through community engagement and neighborhood planning.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the senior center and related facilities to promote active participation.

Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure the safety and adequacy of staffing and equipment within the senior center.
  • Supervise Age Well staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and respond to inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Monitor the program budget and explore potential funding opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to safety and embodies RTH's core values.
  • Effectively builds relationships and communicates with residents, staff, and volunteers.
  • Provides constructive feedback and support to team members.
  • Exhibits flexibility in work schedule and manages multiple tasks independently.
  • Possesses creativity and resourcefulness with a strong community service orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in gerontology or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in aging services or a comparable field.
  • Experience in program management and volunteer coordination.
  • Current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid are required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Culturally competent with the ability to engage a diverse population.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Deliver safe, educational, and engaging Age Well programs for residents.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the Senior Department in fulfilling RTH's mission.
  • Provide quality services and leadership within the Senior Department.
