Job Overview

The American Lung Association is seeking a skilled Fundraising Events Manager to contribute to our mission of enhancing lung health and preventing lung diseases through effective fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of designated fundraising events, ensuring all aspects align with revenue objectives.
  • Recruit and engage volunteer committees, sponsors, and participants to expand our network and enhance event success.
  • Plan and implement Corporate Recruitment events to boost sponsorship and participant involvement while promoting our mission.
  • Utilize strategic approaches to cultivate and retain participants, ensuring effective fundraising outcomes.
  • Analyze event performance and provide insights for future initiatives to broaden community engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to manage budgets, ensuring expenses remain within established limits through effective sponsorship recruitment.
  • Work alongside the Marketing/Communication team to secure media partnerships that elevate event visibility.
  • Lead logistical planning for events and act as the primary staff representative on event days to ensure a positive experience for all attendees.
  • Ensure accurate updates to all relevant databases as required.
  • Assist with special projects and serve as a liaison for community events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of proven fundraising experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing external relationships and recruiting volunteers.
  • Ability to foster and maintain relationships across diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in social and digital media.
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation required, with a willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry event supplies as needed.

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills, with a target range of $56,000 to $63,000 annually.
