Job Summary

AWP Safety is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our safety operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Maintain Safe Work Zones: Utilize proper equipment and techniques to create and maintain safe work zones, minimizing risks to employees and the public.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Manage Traffic Flow: Effectively utilize stop/slow paddles and other traffic control devices to manage traffic flow, ensuring the safety of all road users.
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide top-notch service and protection to our clients, exceeding their expectations and building strong relationships.
  • Participate in Continuous Training: Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, advancing from an entry-level position to long-term career opportunities.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 pounds, with a willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
  • Experience: Previous experience driving and working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
  • Pre-Employment Screenings: Pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
