Role Overview:

This position uniquely combines technical program management, IT strategy, and security leadership. Your contributions will propel Gusto's IT and security initiatives, emphasizing scalable, secure, and efficient technological processes. You will oversee and facilitate cross-departmental programs, collaborating with IT, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to strengthen Gusto's technological framework and security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical insights and strategic recommendations to shape Gusto's IT and Security technology direction.
  • Act as a technology and security strategist, working with stakeholders to develop and refine the roadmap for IT and security systems, minimizing inefficiencies, and enhancing Gusto's security architecture as we grow.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional IT and security projects, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • Identify, design, and implement new IT and security functionalities to improve Gusto's technology stack and operational security.
  • Establish and oversee a regular review process for business performance metrics, security compliance, and strategic project results, providing insights and recommendations to influence executive decision-making.
  • Partner with IT and security operations leaders as a trusted advisor to ensure robust and compliant technology solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of complex IT and security projects, identify root causes of issues, and coordinate cross-functional teams for effective execution.
  • Develop and implement scalable and secure processes to support IT and security objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on program goals and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Over 6 years of relevant experience in IT, security, or technical program management roles, focusing on designing and managing large-scale, complex solutions.
  • Proven success in leading and executing strategic IT and security initiatives, including managing diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong capability to develop and convey insightful quantitative and qualitative analyses to support strategic decision-making in IT and security.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, questioning, and utilizing data to drive enhancements in IT and security operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement, particularly in IT and security, with an emphasis on increasing system security and efficiency.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic initiatives with a focus on IT and security.
  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for securing and supporting the organization.

Gusto offers a competitive cash compensation range for this role, with additional stock equity. Final offer amounts are determined by various factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
