Position Overview: We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to spearhead significant technology initiatives within our Security division. This role involves ensuring that the B2B solutions developed by Amazon Business adhere to our stringent security standards, safeguarding customer data and trust. As a TPM, you will collaborate with various business units, development teams, and partner organizations to promote the adoption of security solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and define functional and technical security requirements by collaborating with product, engineering, and internal security teams.
  • Evaluate the security posture of applications and services to pinpoint risks and propose mitigations, while swiftly responding to emerging threats.
  • Partner closely with software engineers to design secure solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Establish controls and mechanisms to enhance the adoption and continuous improvement of security capabilities across our technology and infrastructure.
  • Drive project execution and maintain alignment by creating a structured program management approach, engaging with engineers, leaders, and executives.
  • Utilize security expertise in technical discussions, ensuring productive engagement among all stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical documentation for both internal and external audiences.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills and business insight, complemented by proven design capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, developing processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • 5+ years of security experience.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or 2+ years of demonstrated experience building on AWS infrastructure and services.
  • A technical degree (Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent) and/or relevant technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, establishing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors, including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
